What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that normalizes how an AI assistant connects to external services. Rather than developing an ad-hoc integration for each tool (with a proprietary format every time), MCP defines a common language: an MCP server exposes capabilities (read an email, create a ticket, schedule a meeting), and the agent discovers them dynamically.
